A new year begins as well as a new cycle. The girls returned to my home, to their classes, and everything goes back to normal after the busy holidays of Christmas, New Year and Three Kings Day, a holiday here in Mexico on January 6th. It is so good to see them come back with a new mood and a desire to go back to school. Sometimes I get to see previous photos of when they first came and I see them now, and I can see the change in them, their way of being, their way of dealing with people and even their way of studying. They have become involved in the church. They love to serve and to be available to help with the children or in any other area and they do it with pleasure. They feel useful and are always asking where they can help.

We have amazing news! We have land! The purchase of the land to build the home-house for indigenous students is final. Praise God! There is still much to be done and already we are faced with challenges but God has never left us halfway. He has been faithful from the beginning and has always kept his promises. This is a giant step for me and is a great victory. The girls are as excited as I am or maybe even more. I know that soon we will see this dream develop before our eyes this and it will be of great blessing for many more indigenous girls. It seemed at times like this vision was never going to take place and at times I even wondered if it was worth pursuing. But everyday, as I wake up to get the girls ready for school, as I sit with teachers who give me good reports about the girls’ studies and grades, when they come to ask me about God can do a work in their lives it reminds me that these young girls’ lives is most definitely worth it. It is all worth it! God has been good and faithful and I am very grateful. Thank you for your wonderful support. You are part of this miracle!
