March - it’s when spring makes its appearance. However, here in Durango we still have very low temperatures, which leads our students to stay home from school because classes were cancelled. It is to be expected since it happens every year. During rainy season, classes are also cancelled because of the abundance of rain.
We had the opportunity to celebrate International Woman’s Day this month. This holiday is even more special to us because of our ministry. We believe that God has something special for each one of our girls and we love seeing them unfold in the potential that God has placed in their lives.
One of the many good things that have happened here at my home is the arrival of sister Marta Santos King from San Antonio, TX, from Destiny Church. She is here for five months to help us with the girls. She has taken the task of teaching them english, which they have absolutely loved! It is interesting to know that they have similar sounds in their own language which is why, with a little practice, they have good pronunciation.

Aside from teaching them english, Marta has taught them to bake cakes and desserts! As you may imagine, this is very exciting for the girls, and of course, I enjoy it as well. Martha has come to join our team and we are grateful to the Lord for the blessing that she has been.
We want to thank all of you who are part of our team. We are grateful for what you do for the ministry. Your prayers and support gives us strength and encourages us to keep moving onward with this wonderful ministry. You make it possible for us to make a difference in these girls’ lives. May God bless you and your family abundantly!
