The month of November is known as the month to give thanks. Here in my house we have much to be thankful for. It has been difficult for each of the girls in particular. The fact that they left their home to come to a place unknown to them and to try to adapt themselves to a different culture which is a difficult for them to do. However, I have seen a great change in them. Sarahi, for example, who has been here longer than the other girls, has changed amazingly! She was a girl full of insecurities and fears about everything. Today, she still has insecurities and fears, but has overcome many and now she helps the young ones with their homework. Luisa is another example of great change. She came here against her will and her actions showed us that she was not coming back the next year. But she did and now she will graduate next semester from High School. Her development has been gradual and steady. Karina is the youngest girl of the group. She is only ten years old. When she came here a few months ago she was a quiet child. She did everything she was told to do and never smile. Now you can hear her laughing, singing and humming all day long. She is learning more and more Spanish as each day goes by.

I could say something about each of them. But I would like to express my gratitude for you. Thank you all! Thank you for helping us change lives. Your prayers keep us uplifted and your financial support enables us to continue helping these precious girls. Thank you again! We wish you and your family to have a very blessed Thanksgiving!
